As Lead Prosper strides into the new year, January has proven to be a month of dynamic shifts and pivotal moments. From attending the lead gen community’s top trade shows to navigating the Federal Communications Commission's one-to-one consent ruling, Lead Prosper’s CEO Ross Breiman reflected on the company’s start to 2024.
“January has been super fast paced and exciting. We now know where we stand with the new FCC regulations and the industry has a year to make the necessary changes. Two shows right off the bat have made things interesting as well. January is over and as of February 1st, Lead Prosper is implementing our pricing change. It has been crazy - in a good way - to say the least,” Breiman said.
Trade Show Recap
The start of the new year saw the Lead Prosper team attend back-to-back trade shows. In the second week of January, Lead Prosper headed south to Hollywood, Florida, and attended the fourth edition of Lead Generation World. Just a week later, the crew took a visit to Las Vegas, Nevada, to attend Affiliate Summit West.
Lead Prosper’s Account Manager, Harrison Johnston, had the opportunity to attend both shows and represent the company. Johnston noted how it was to be at the industry’s first two major shows of 2024.
“I attended both trade shows in those two weeks. Both of them were a great experience both in getting to join up with my teammates who I do not work in the same office with as well as seeing some clients face to face. Also, just starting the year off on a good foot and getting out there meeting people was a fantastic experience,” Johnston said.
Garrett Krinsky, Chief Operating Officer at Lead Prosper, details how essential it is to attend these shows and network with others in the lead gen community.
“Each show we attend allows us to develop new relationships and meet with existing friends in the industry, as well as gain insight into what is happening in lead gen from all different aspects. LGW and ASW were no different, and they were also great opportunities to discuss some of the biggest topics of the industry with everyone from solopreneur lead generators up to industry leaders.”

The FCC’s One-to-One Consent Ruling is Published
The Federal Communications Commission’s One-to-One consent and Anti-Robocalling ruling continues to dominate the Lead Generation landscape. This new order was put in place to combat robocalls and robotexts so that consumers will be protected from unwanted and, at times, fraudulent communications. The ruling also includes the plan to impose a one-on-one consent rule. This rule states that consumer consent must be obtained on a “one-to-one” basis, one marketer at a time, preventing a single consent from applying to multiple entities.

On January 26, the FCC officially published these rulings to the Federal Register, signaling a 12-month countdown until the new one-to-one consent requirements go into effect. This means that the new mandates for one-to-one consent will need to be implemented by January 27, 2025.
Breiman spoke on what this official date means for the industry and how Lead Prosper is ready to implement what will be needed under the upcoming regulations.
“I think the industry is happy they have a year to make these changes. But, they need to realize time is not slowing down and it is a serious change that needs to be implemented ASAP. Lead Prosper is already able to support one-to-one consent at a basic level, but we have plans for a new campaign type to be able to easily execute one-to-one consent lead distribution for all scenarios,” Breiman said.
January also saw the FCC re-open comments on the one-to-one consent ruling, meaning small businesses are able to submit a public comment to the FCC and detail how they will be impacted by the ruling. Head over to our article FCC's One-To-One Consent: How YOU Can Help to learn more about the comment period, including why small businesses should make a comment and how to submit a comment to the FCC.
When the period for public comments was opened back up, the deadline to submit a comment was scheduled for February 1st. However, that date has been pushed back to February 26. So, comments are still able to be made until the new deadline.
“Submit your comments, get your voice heard! I do not think the FCC realizes how much impact there will be, but many small businesses will definitely be affected by this ruling,” Breiman said. “I agree with the premise behind the ruling and I know those that are doing things the right way will figure out how to navigate these changes.”
While extending the comment period shows the FCC wants to hear from the public regarding their decision, Krinsky notes this push back brings more confusion for what the ruling will entail next year.
“With the FCC pushing back the deadline for comments on the new regulations until the end of February there is still a bit of uncertainty about what the final ruling will be that is put into effect in January 2025,” Krinsky said.
Lead Prosper’s Pricing Change
The end of the month of January sees the company transition to their new pricing structure.
As of February 1, 2024, Lead Prosper has transitioned to a new $500 monthly minimum. To read more about the change, visit this page: https://leadprosper.io/news/pricing-changes
According to Krinsky, February’s arrival and pricing change ushers a new era to Lead Prosper.
“I think what is most exciting with February finally being here is to start the next chapter of Lead Prosper, and we have a handful of current projects in the works that are going to be really fun to bring to our customers over the upcoming months,” Krinsky said.
Breiman also added how important the pricing change will be for Lead Prosper.
“The pricing change will allow us to continue to grow our team and offer the best lead distribution possible. There are a lot of new features in the pipeline, more support, account management and partnerships in the works. I am very excited to continue to grow our product and offerings!”
As Lead Prosper heads into the new month, there is determination and excitement in the air. We cannot wait to continue to provide a top-tier product, and this price change will help us reach new heights bringing new features and an even better customer support system.
