Lead Prosper is excited to announce the launch of our returns feature, allowing users to accept returns from their buyers seamlessly through a simple CSV file upload. Introducing returns is just the beginning in a long list of features that will be coming to the platform over the next few months as we continue to innovate and improve Lead Prosper.
In an ideal world, every lead that you sell to a buyer would be usable, and you would never have to worry about returns. However, there are multitudes of reasons as to why a buyer may want to return a lead. Poor quality, duplicate leads, non-compliance, unable to qualify, budget constraints… the list can go on-and-on. A big part of the lead generation business is keeping worthwhile relationships. By allowing your buyers to return a certain amount of leads, you can keep them happy.
Returns on Lead Prosper is a simple process. Your buyers provide you with a list of leads they would like to return, including a reason for the return. Review and consolidate the list of leads by removing any leads you do not deem worthy of returning, and then start a new return in your Lead Prosper account. You only need a few details in order to process the return - the campaign name, the buyer name, a unique identifiable field to match the lead in the file to the lead in the campaign, and a return reason field in the file. With that information available you can process a return for the buyer in a matter of minutes. To learn more about processing returns you can check out this article:

Once the lead return has been successfully processed you will be able to see the return metrics on the returns dashboard, including:
- Matched - Total leads that were matched and returned
- Unmatched - Total leads that were unable to be matched and therefore were not returned
- Failed - Leads that failed to be matched and / or returned for any number of reason.
- Total - Total amount of leads processed from the file.
Users will also get a number of files in an archive after the return has been processed, which includes a list of any unmatched leads, a list of any failed leads with reasons, and return files for each supplier that had leads processed in the return. These files can then be sent to the respective suppliers for them to process the returns on your end so that you are not charged for them.
Lastly, if you have buyers who are set up in the customer portal, any returns that are processed for them will be applied and added to their portal account balance. This allows the buyer to continue buying leads off their account balance immediately without having to wait for you as the Lead Prosper user to process a refund to their card on file which can take up to 3 - 5 business days to be usable funds.
Returns are just the first in a number of serious improvements and features we will be adding to Lead Prosper in the near future so please follow us for all news, feature announcements, updates and more!
